KALE!!!! Biblical Beauty Secret Week 4

KALE!!!!  SUPERFOOD

Lean, Green and Packed with Nutrients.

Recently, while performing in the Off-Off Broadway show, “Songs From The Harlem River,” I met a beautiful actress named VINIE BURROWS who came out to see us.

Vinie won’t be upset when I tell you how old she is because she proudly proclaims it.  She is 88 years young.  I almost hit the floor when she told me.  What???
She’s elegant, vital, slim and healthy.  Her makeup was impeccable on skin which was dewy.  Dewy at 88.  Moreover, she still performs regularly, lives alone in Manhattan, walks everywhere and runs all of her own errands and folks in New York City know that running errands in the city is tantamount to a race with hurdles.  http://www.vinieburrows.com

I asked her what was her secret and she said simply in addition to the constant physical activity, she drinks a cup of KALE TEA every day.

Now I know KALE has many benefits, such as;
  • Brain Food (Manganese)
  • Protects Against Heart Disease (Antioxidants; Magnesium and Potassium)
  • Anti-Cancer Benefits (Vitamin A, C)
  • Super High in Vitamin K1 (Bone health, Blood Sugar Level Regulation)
  • IRON, IRON and More IRON
  • High in Potassium (only Avocados and Bananas are higher)
  • Aids in WEIGHT LOSS
  • Anti-Inflammatory
  • Low in Calories

 Making Kale Tea at Home

2 to 3 pieces of kale leaves
¾ cup water

Instruction:
Tear the kale leaves into small pieces.  Add ¾ cup of boiling water.  Let it steep for several minutes.  Stir the mixture several times before drinking.  Sweeten the mixture by adding organic honey.
Drink a small cup EVERY DAY.
A LITTLE EXTRA BEAUTY TREAT
Have a 1/2 cup of Walnuts for a nice afternoon snack
According to the Harvard School of Public Health, nuts are a perfect age fighting food and full of omega-3 essential fatty-acids. Walnuts and nuts in general, assist with managing cholesterol levels, improve digestive functioning, and strengthen immunity due to their rich mineral content.
In addition, research has discovered that even though nuts are a high-calorie, high-fat food, they do not encourage weight-gain. This is because nuts are filling, and after consumption, people eat less afterwards. In fact, the body does not absorb up to 20% of nuts.
Lovingly,

 Michèle
