ARE YOU ADDICTED TO THE STRUGGLE?




I had to face the realization that for some reason seriously unbeknownst to me, I HAD AN ADDICTION TO STRUGGLE.  Just got this realization recently.  NO MORE, I'M DONE.

What or who on earth maligned my mindset to this point?  You know how I figured it out? I just took a long, hard look at my circumstances, people around me and the disproportionate levels of progression and measurable successes relative to the work and desires in my life and the lives of others.

Everything has been a struggle.  I mean EVERYTHING! My mantra became biblical in that I fully embrace the scripture, "The valiant take it by force."  I remember taking an acting role in minus degree weather while I had the flu.  The job required me to dress in non-seasonal clothing and barely able to stand, I kept telling myself, "Just push girl.  You're strong and powerful, etc., etc.  That was ludicrous!  I could have ended up in the hospital.

"If there is no struggle, there is no progress......NOT ABSOLUTELY TRUE.  Struggle is a part of it, like an aircraft's ascent.  It takes a lot of THRUST before we reach CRUISING ALTITUDE but we do reach it eventually.

"Suffering violence" doesn't embrace the struggle.  On the contrary, "Valiant" people are forceful people, purposed driven people.  Each power move takes it by force upward and beyond, not downward or stagnant.  Valiant people make power moves and POWER MOVES are STRATEGIC.

BIBLICAL BEAUTIES, you are allowed to flow and ease into your purpose with measureable success and abundant living.  So, ALLOW YOURSELF to peacefully make your next move.

What are you desiring?  If you've spent half to three quarters of your life struggling to achieve your desires, it is time to stand back and revamp your strategy.  Let the physical struggle go and focus on your INNER STRENGTH.  (I will discuss this further in future posts.)

I'm lessening this struggle, once and for all.  That's what I am going to do, starting now.  `But, first, I shall relax.  BYE, BYE STRUGGLE!

NEW BEGINNINGS AT ANY AGE

Hello Everyone:

Well, it has been a while since I last posted on my blog.  SO MUCH has happened....to all us really and certainly in the world we live in.

Often, I've lamented, "All of these years have passed and I have not accomplished my life's objectives!"  Panic was starting to set in.

"Time is FINITE.  
I don't have forever.  
When will I achieve the desires of my heart?"

It seems like the only thing increasing is AGE.  

HOGWASH!!!!

While aging itself is a biological process, what it means to be “young” or “old” is socially constructed. This means that there is no inherent cultural meaning to the biological process of aging. Rather, cultures imbue youth and age with meanings.

Let's embark upon this new season together; shall we?

What You HEAR Can Hurt or Heal. Biblical Beauty Secret No. 6

There are all kinds of frequencies and vibrations all around us.



Light Waves (eyes), Sound Waves (ears), Gamma Rays, Infrared and Radio and Television Waves which can be felt.
These frequencies can be healing or abrasive.  Remember the old saying, "Music hath the power to heal the savage beast."  Well, the opposite is true also.


How music affects our body and brain

Music can effect hormones and can even trigger a release of endorphins - feel good chemicals. Beyond the biology and the actual responses of your body, there is scientific evidence it can affect your mind.

The most famous experiment related to this is probably the one that was performed at the University of California at Irvine. College students were assigned to three different groups. The first group listened to Mozart's sonata for Two Pianos in D Major. The second group listened to a relaxation tape. The third group listened to nothing at all. After listening, they took a Stanford-Beinet reasoning test. The results were clear -- those who had listened to Mozart had improved scores.

Recently, while performing in the Off-Off Broadway show, “Songs From The Harlem River,” I met a beautiful actress named VINIE BURROWS who came out to see us.

 

Vinie won’t be upset when I tell you how old she is because she proudly proclaims it.  She is 88 years young.  I almost hit the floor when she told me.  What???

I asked her what was her secret and she said simply in addition to the constant physical activity, she drinks a cup of KALE TEA every day.
