How Rosemary Can Help Your Hair Grow

Rosemary

Rosemary is a lovely aromatic herb that has been extensively used in traditional societies as a folk remedy against hair loss. It has needle-like, dark green leaves and delicate blue flowers. The name “rosemary” is believed to be derived from the Latin language, meaning “dew of the sea”. Since the herb is native to the Mediterranean region, it indeed thrives in the salty, calcium-rich soils of dry coastal areas.

Due to its strong, pungent, but undeniably pleasant flavour, rosemary is famous for its hair-conditioning properties. People of Italy, France, and Northern Europe often use this herb in refreshing hair rinses and even put several dry sprigs under the pillow to have pleasant night’s dreams and promote the growth of new, healthy hair!

Rosemary is used to combat the fall of hair, stimulate the growth of new locks, strengthen hair roots, support hair follicles, eliminate dandruff, and clean the scalp and hair of impurities. Both fresh and dry plants can be utilized successfully to make hair-friendly water or spirit infusions to use as aromatic hair conditioners, split, or beneficial rinses. In addition, home-made rosemary vinegar, as well as rosemary oil, can be applied to the hair roots or used in different other ways to stop hair loss.

When you buy or harvest rosemary, refrigerate fresh sprigs for several days in a plastic bag, or just place their stem ends in water. To dry, hang fresh herbs in a warm, dry, and preferably slightly windy place, before transferring into cotton bags for a long-term storage.

Both fresh and dry rosemary is very effective for making various herbal infusions that can be used to benefit your hair. To make a very simple, yet healthful water infusion, just put several handfuls of rosemary into a water-filled pot, bring to boil, and gently simmer for about five to 15 minutes. Allow to cool, strain into a clean container, and pour throughout your hair just after shampooing. Due to a very pleasant aroma and strengthening effects of this rosemary rinse, you do not need to wash it off with additional fresh water. The procedure can be repeated every time you wash your hair (we recommend that you do it only one or twice a week, since more frequent shampooing is damaging for your natural hair oils).

Rosemary oil is even more effective to fight hair loss and especially eliminate dry dandruff, than water-based rosemary infusions. In season, when rosemary is inexpensive and plentiful, make several bottles of this wonderful oil to use throughout the year. Extra-virgin, cold-pressed olive oil is extremely helpful as a scalp and hair-nourishing substance; it also lends itself most naturally to a rosemary infusion. Fresh herbs are the best to use in the preparation of rosemary oil , but dry rosemary can do the work, too. To make the oil at home, wash and dry a handful or two of fresh rosemary sprigs, rub them lightly between your palms to release the flavour, and place them in a clean bottle (you can also add several slices of fresh ginger to intensify the flavour and medicinal qualities of rosemary). Pour extra-virgin olive oil to cover the herbs, seal tightly, and leave in a dark cupboard for at least two weeks. To use, massage somerosemary oil into your scalp and hair and leave overnight for the beneficial particles of olive oil, rosemary, and optional ginger to penetrate deep into your hair roots and shafts. Repeat weekly and watch your hair quickly regaining its strength and vitality!

Another way to use rosemary for topical hair applications is to make rosemary vinegar. It is advisable to infuse rosemary only in raw and, preferably, organic apple cider vinegar of the highest quality you can find. Apple cider vinegar has long been praised for its hair-rejuvenating properties. Combined with rosemary, this vinegar makes a super-remedy for dull, weak, and shedding hair. To prepare, fill a clean jar or bottle with fresh or dry rosemary sprigs and pour raw, unheated apple cider vinegar over the herbs to cover them completely. Seal and leave to infuse for at least a fortnight in a dark place, shaking the jar occasionally. You can store ready rosemary vinegar in a dark cool cabinet or a cellar to undergo further beneficial fermentation. Use weekly to make a hair rinse by mixing several tablespoons of rosemary vinegar with lukewarm water and pouring the mixture onto your scalp and hair. This rosemary remedy has a power to completely rejuvenate weakening hair just within a few months!

SPEAK BIBLICAL BEAUTY INTO EXISTENCE!

Is there a way to delay or even reverse the hands of time on one's face without going under the knife?  YES!  There are quite a few excellent creams, serums and oils available and BIBLICAL BEAUTY will even critique some of them.  However, there is one way to delay or reverse that is absolutely cost-free and guaranteed to work.

SPEAK Healing Scriptures, God's formidable anti-aging strategy.  I recite Job 33:25 everyday.

JOB 33:25 "His flesh shall be fresher than a child's:
he shall return to the days of his youth"

As I massage the moisturizer into my face, I SPEAK Job 33:25 over me.  Scripture spoken out loud is God's perfect language, scientifically moving and healing to the cells of the body.  Just as I lay hands upon my own body, I lay hands upon my face.

MARK 16:18 "They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

PSALM 103 "Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;
so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's."

FACIAL CLEANSING REGIMEN:

1) SPEAK the Word of God over your face while following the regimen.  Job 33:25; Mark 16:18; Psalm 103:5.

2) Wash the face with a non-irritating FACIAL CLEANSER.

3) Apply a SERUM over cleansed face.

4) Apply a FACIAL MOISTURIZER (and EYE CREAM if needed)

Michele's BIBLICAL BEAUTY SECRET

I SEAL all of the above by applying a layer of oil.  Most experts would say, oh no, that's comedogenic (causes blemishes).  Well, I've always had oily skin, so I figured that I shouldn't use a heavy oil, but I found a couple of oils that have not caused any problems -  EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL and PURE EMU OIL.

You can obtain the EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL through http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/.  Brian W. Shilhavy, BA, MA is the owner of Tropical Traditions (TROPICALTRADITIONS.COM) and he has a blog, http://created4health.blogspot.com/.

BIBLICAL BEAUTY HALL OF SHAME!

Aborted fetus cells used in beauty creams

The Washington Times (Link) - Valerie Richardson (November 3, 2009)

A San Francisco cosmetics company has ignited an outcry among pro-lifers for including an unexpected ingredient in its anti-aging creams: skin-cell proteins from an aborted fetus.

Children of God for Life, a watchdog group that monitors the use of fetal material in medical products, called last week for a boycott of all treatments manufactured by Neocutis Inc., which acknowledges that the key ingredient in its product line was developed from an aborted boy.

"There's just no excuse for using aborted babies in skin-care products," said Debi Vinnedge, executive director of Children of God for Life, a 10-year-old organization based in Murfreesboro, Tenn. "The reaction, the shock and anger I've seen is incredible."

In a statement released Friday, in response to a wave of condemnation from pro-life and religious blogs, Neocutis defended the use of its trademarked ingredient, Processed Skin Cell Proteins, or PSP, arguing that the fetal cell line was harvested in a responsible, ethical manner for use in treating severe dermatological injuries.

The company compared its situation to that of researchers who used fetal kidney cells to develop the polio vaccine.

"Our view - which is shared by most medical professionals and patients - is that the limited, prudent and responsible use of donated fetal skin tissue can continue to ease suffering, speed healing, save lives and improve the well-being of many patients around the globe," said the statement.

BIBLICAL BEAUTY JOURNEY

A BIBLICAL BEAUTY:     Dr. Medina Pullings

There are two approaches to beauty. 1) Spiritual  and 2) Natural (earthly).  Each approach requires effort.

PRINCIPLE: It is easier to obtain than it is to maintain.

This principle is applicable to both approaches.  BIBLICAL BEAUTY is a journey embarking upon the exploration of both.

My personal beauty maintenance program combines both via strategic prayer, fasting, beauty oils and herbs, cutting edge health and beauty products, proper nutrition, vitamins, facials, exercise and makeup techniques.

While there can be a predisposition to beauty, health, youth and vitality in varying degrees by virtue of good genes thanks to our Moms and Dads, God has blessed every single woman on the planet with a beauty secret.  That secret is the glow that emanates from the anointing of God and the love of Jesus Christ supersedes any aspect of worldly beauty.  The more time spent with God and His Word, the more evident the anointing.

With that in mind, let us embark upon the BIBLICAL BEAUTY journey and develop what God has imparted to us.

Love,

Michele
