As I write this Biblical Beauty Blog post, I am basking in the aromatic fragrance of POMEGRANATE OIL which I massaged over my face, neck and décolletage. Such a heavenly fragrance. A I inhale this lovely fragrance, an indescribable peace enveloped me.
A BIBLICAL BEAUTY knows that God's natural herbs, fruits and oils are the ultimate beauty resource for healing, maintenance and rejuvenation.
One of these natural rejuvenators
is the beautiful POMEGRANATE.
In the Bible (Deut. 8:8), the report of the spies sent forth
to scout out the Promised Land recounted having seen a land of wheat and
barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and
honey.
“Pomegranate, a very beautiful and majestic fruit, even has
a crown. It corresponds to hod,
which means majesty and glory. Hod is also related to the Hebrew word toda which means thanks and recognition.
According to Rav Yitzchak Ginsburgh, hod
corresponds to our immune
system. A healthy immune system is able to recognize our friends from our foes,
and pomegranates boost our immune system. Pomegranate seed oil causes cancer
cells to self-destruct; the juice of the fruit is toxic to most breast cancer
cells, yet has almost no effect on healthy cells. Pomegranate juice has also
been proven to decrease heart disease by decreasing LDL ("bad
cholesterol") and increased HDL ("good cholesterol").” --

The pomegranate is native in regions ranging from Iran
through to the Himalayas in northern India. It was cultivated and naturalized
over the Mediterranean region since ancient times. The pomegranate plant is a
neat, rounded shrub or small tree that can grow to typically to 12 to 16 feet
in height. Dwarf varieties are also known. It is usually deciduous, but in
certain areas the leaves will persist on the tree. The trunk is covered by a
red-brown bark, which later becomes gray. The branches are stiff, angular and
often spiny. Pomegranate Carrier Oil is the result of the dried seeds, which
are extracted and purified with supercritical carbon dioxide (liquid carbon
dioxide).
Pomegranate Seed Carrier Oil is suitable for applications in
both soap and skin care. It is often viewed as a "face oil" in that
it moisturizes and nourishes dry skin. It also balances pH and after
application the skin usually feels soft and smooth.

Song of Songs 4: 1-5 - 1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead. 2 Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them. 3 Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. 4 Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men. 5 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.
