EKATERINA ULYANOFF - MOST INCREDIBLE MAKE UP ARTIST

MAKE UP DESIGN BY EKATERINA ULYANOFF

Biblical Beauty focuses upon the beauty and health products that essentially create a healthy, strong and glowing face and body foundation.  However, I would like to share a beautiful example of make up artistry which to me defines the "finished work."  Specifically, the work of the Make Up Artist, EKATERINA ULYANOFF.  I have fallen divinely and madly in love with her work.

Ekaterina Ulyanoff is a Certified Make-up artist, currently based in Montreal, Quebec.

-Top 5 Finalist of National Salon Beauty Industry Awards 'Contessa 2012" in a category "Makeup Artist of the Year"
-Top 5 finalist of 2012 Mirror Awards for Canadian Salon Industry Awards in a category for "Make-Up Artist"

Raised in Russia, she got attracted by beauty of art since she was a little girl, when at the age 6 years she was brought to a school of Professional Ballroom Dancing.
From this moment she has been living in a beautiful world of art that combined graceful movements, beautiful music, clothing, and, of course, gorgeous makeup.

Here is a video that I watched several times in order to instruct myself on the art of eye makeup.    My eyes are small and I am always looking for ways to play them up and make them stand out.  I actually went on a shoot and asked a make up artist to give me this kind of look and the artist on site couldn't really do it.  But, after watching this video, I can ALMOST (lol) do it myself.  The video intrigued me, however about Ekaterina Ulyanoff.  So, watch and enjoy.....

Did you notice the small piece of tape underneath the eye to aid in perfecting the contouring????  Awesome!!!

THE PERFECT LIPS

Wow, I didn't know about using a concealer pencil as the last step to make a clean lip line.

Here's a quickie lesson on creating the perfect lips.

TIGHTEN UP, OOOH, TIGHTEN UP!

Niaouli essential oil

(Melaleuca quinquinervia, formerly viridifolia)
Niaouli is a member of the Myrtaceae family, being related to the Tea Trees (Melaleucas). It is a native of the southern Pacific tropical regions and is also found in northern Australia. Niaouli oil is extracted from the fresh leaves by distillation and then is purified to remove irritant constituents.

Niaouli Oil helps to tighten tissues and reduces the appearance of cellulite, stimulating circulation to the skin and regenerating skin tissue.  In fact, Niaouli’s tissue regenerative properties directly enhance tissue oxygenation.

Niaouli has been noted by Dr. Kurt Schnaubelt as an excellent general immune system booster, and an agent to help one with allergic reactions. His protocol is the application of 5-20 drops of oil directly to the skin after a shower, for best absorption.

If your skin doesn’t have particular damage to it, but appears lifeless due to exhaustion and/or exposure to significant amounts of pollution or environmental toxins, this is the blend for you. Use one part Rosehip Seed and 4 parts Hazelnut as the base. To each ounce, include fifteen drops Carrot Seed (also known as Wild Carrot or Queen Anne’s Lace – a well known skin restorative), fifteen drops Lemon verbena (which enhances the removal of toxins from skin tissues), fifteen drops Niaouli (an all-around brilliant antiseptic oil with firming effects), and fifteen drops Rosemary verbenone (again, for it’s regenerative and stimulating effects).

If you are wishing to strengthen, tighten, and firm your skin, try this dilute mixture (the concentration of essential oils is relatively low here for use near the eyes) five ounces of Hazelnut oil and one ounce of Rosehip seed oil, fifteen drops of Green Myrtle, fifteen drops of Rock Rose (a plant grown in very sun-drenched areas, excellent for gently tightening the skin). If you like, add fifteen drops of Rosemary verbenone for it’s regenerative properties, but omit if this causes sensitivity used near the eyes.

APPLY between 5 and 20 drops of the oil to the body with a loofah pad or facial sponge.

Because Niaouli Oil can lead to irritation, it is often mixed with tea tree or lavender oil.  I usually put my oils in a carrier oil like Jojoba or Grapeseed.

General Safety Information: Do not take any essential oils internally without consultation from a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Do not apply undiluted essential oils, absolutes, CO2s or other concentrated essences onto the skin. If you are pregnant, epileptic, have liver damage, have cancer, or have any other medical problem, use essential oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Use extreme caution when using oils with children and give children only the gentlest oils at extremely low doses. It is safest to consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using essential oils with children. A skin patch test should be conducted prior to using an essential oil that you've never used before. Instructions on conducting a skin patch test and more safety information can be found by visiting the Essential Oil Safety Information page. For very in-depth information on essential oil safety issues, read Essential Oil Safety by Robert Tisserand and Tony Balacs.

Extra-Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum - Face Serum by Clarins Serums

Extra-Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum - Face Serum by Clarins Serums

Thought I would send a personal greeting today.  So I downloaded a smiley (lol) picture to represent the warm feelings I want to convey.  As I looked at this picture, I thought, oh my goodness, look at how shiny I am.  Then, immediately, I thought, but therein lies one of nature's best beauty secrets, specifically, oily skin.

Can we talk about that for a moment????  :o)

Oily Skin is a wrinkle's Kryptonite.  If you are in your teens, you may not think so.  I mean after all, oily skin means frequent breakouts.  All teenagers want a glowing, blemish-free complexion and that doesn't seem to accompany oily skin.  However, YOUNG LADIES, embrace your oily skin in your youth because as you age, your anti-aging regimen won't be nearly as involved as your drier skin counterparts.

Here are some important elements for treating and maintaining Oily Skin:

1.  AM and PM Daily Cleanse:  Most teenagers rush for a cleanser containing salicylic acid.  For women over 30, this ingredient might be too harsh.  A cleanser container lactic or glycolic acid is better because it contains hydrating elements to buffer the drying out elements of the acids.

2.  AM Hydrate and Protect:  (may I add, inside and out)  Drink plenty of water!!!!!  Eat whole foods, plenty of fruit and vegetables. You may have oily skin but remember OIL and MOISTURE are two different things.

After cleansing, use a SERUM and a MOISTURIZER.  A Serum works within the skin dermis to effect restoration of the skin's natural moisture barrier to provide enhance hydration and protection.  The Moisturizer which should contain a sunscreen fights premature wrinkles, offers protection from UV rays and stops hyper-pigmentation.

3.  PM only Treat:  A prescription-strength Tretinoin such as Retin-A or Veltin (a new tretinoin that contains an antibiotic for blackhead prevention) covers two key elements in treatment:  1. It fights breakouts by controlling oil production and increasing skin-cell turnover, minimizing the potential for clogged pores.  2. That speedy turnover provides anti-aging benefits, helping skin tone appear more even.  Retinol is the over-the-counter cousin.  Does the same job, just slower.

4.  AM only Conceal and Heal:  For those agonizing breakouts - Use a mattifying- lotion or a makeup primer after the sunscreen Moisturizer and that will control the shine throughout the day.  Adding a drop of oil-free tea tree oil to your favorite foundation or using a oil-free treatment foundation will help in fighting acne.

I like to put a little drop of Rosemary Oil in my concealer.  I apply it with a little makeup brush which I use exclusively for this purpose.  Do not get this in or near the eyes.

5.  PM  Boost Eye Moisture:  The skin around and underneath the eyes is thinner and probably not oily, especially in over-30 skin.  ALWAYS moisturize the eye area!!!!

6.  AM or PM Exfoliate:  For skin prone to breakouts, most experts suggest a chemical exfoliator with glycolic, lactic or salicyclic acid rather than a physical exfoliator, such as a scrub.  A scrub usually contains granules which can irritate pimples, making them slower to heal.  However, Natural Exfoliators such as Coffee, Sugar, Baking Soda, Oatmeal and Cornmeal used in a carrier oil such as Coconut Oil, Olive Oil and Jojoba are excellent.  Just DON'T scrub hard.

7.  Weekly Deep Clean:  I love Natural Clay such as, Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque.  It contains Sulfur which helps kill bacteria.  A clay mask, used once absorbs excess oils thereby preventing blackheads and whiteheads and soothes irritation.

Wow, just think, I just wanted to say hello on a rainy Sunday.

God bless you!  TTYL

THE SECRET TO AGING BIBLICALLY

Hello Biblical Beauties:

I don’t know why but people will look at me skeptically when I tell them that it is definitely possible to slow down the aging process. Sure, I understand that genes, environment, stress factors, health issues, etc. all contribute to aging. However, no matter where a person finds themselves along life’s journey, it is entirely possible to waylay all external and internal damage via PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE.

PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE is defined as bodily physical regeneration via spiritual renewal.

GLORIA GAYNOR
CHRISTIAN, MUSIC LEGEND, BIBLICAL BEAUTY

This is not hocus pocus. It is a principle that the many “spiritual” persons have perfected but Christians have overlooked. How much more ought Christians embrace the same BIBLICAL Principles.

I have been privileged to know many Christian men and women of age who totally astound me. Like the men and women of the Bible, they belie their actual ages. What is their secret? It’s not rocket science. That main anti-aging secret is living a consecrated life.

JENNIFER O'NEILL
CELEBRATED ACTRESS, WRITER, SPEAKER, CHRISTIAN, BIBLICAL BEAUTY
A consecrated life will open the door to REVELATION via scripture, prayer and fasting. Daily scripture, not paraphrased, spoken over one’s self will manifest itself in your physical body. Your body has to obey the Word of the God. The Word of God is LIFE. The Pneuma or BREATH OF GOD enters in and sweeps away the destructive components of modern life.

Something as simple as PRAYING OVER YOUR FOOD is an Act of Consecration.

“Bless us Oh Lord and these they gifts which I am about to receive from Thy bounty for the nourishment of our bodies through Jesus Christ. Lord, I believe Your Word which says that You would bless our food and drink and take sickness and disease away from the midst of us and that none of the diseases of the Egyptians would afflict us.”

As you begin each day, you have to wash your faces and body, right??? Well the WORD says,

“And my flesh shall be fresher than my youth.” Job 33:25

I have declared that scripture over myself for years and I am a witness.  CONFESSING THE WORD OVER YOUR BODY is reinforcement.

"As a man thinketh in his heart so is he." Proverbs 23:7

Does this mean one can still have a poor diet, lack of exercise, intense stress, etc. and expect to thrive simply via consecration? Of course, not. Consider that pure, yielded, focused CONSECRATION will provoke you to regard a poor diet, lack of exercise or intense stress with EXTREME AVERSION.

PASTOR MILLICENT HUNTER
DYNAMIC PASTOR, CHRISTIAN, BIBLICAL BEAUTY
With PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE comes an injection of divine energy pulsating through the body. You want to eat Whole Foods, to exercise, to find ways to alleviate stress. Even if you work on a stressful job, the “peace of God which passes all understanding” encapsulates you.

So, PRAY OVER YOUR FOOD

CONFESS THE WORD OVER YOUR BODY, and

CONSECRATE YOUR LIVES VIA SUBMISSION

And you will begin to experience a PHYSICAL DELIVERANCE .

God bless you!

Amalaki

Biblical Beauty knows that Amalaki or Amla as it is generally referred to promotes hair growth, healthy scalp and prevents premature greying. But, guess what? Amla also enhances protein synthesis, which strengthens MUSCLES, promotes LEAN MUSCLE MASS, and improves MUSCLE TONE. It is known as THE GREAT REJUVENATOR.

Raw Amla (Amalaki) contains the potent phenolic combination of ellagic acid, gallic acid and emblicanin A+B. Together these polyphenols are important for reducing cellular and oxidative stress, destroying immune damaging free radicals and supporting the overall detoxification of the body. The bioflavanoids, rutin and quercetin also contribute to the overall antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and youth promoting qualities of this remarkable fruit. Additionally, amla contains the potent antioxidant enzymes super oxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase and catalase.

Can be taken internally and used externally.

Some possible benefits of Raw Amla powder may include:

MAORI BEAUTY

Ezekiel 47:12

“And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

God has provided plants on this earth for healing. The ravages of environment upon the skin can be HEALED. The effects of Time can be controlled. The hazards of modern society wreak havoc upon our bodies both internally and externally. While scientific advancements may serve to counter the effects, they pale in comparison to natural remedies.

TREE FERN

History

The tree fern, commonly known as mamaku, comes from New Zealand.

The Maori used the pulp of young fronds for their healing properties.

Properties
The tree fern is excellent for its ability to lift, firm and tone the skin, and to smooth wrinkles. Thanks to its specific polysaccharide composition, it has an immediate tensor effect on the skin.

Rabbi Efraim Davidson of the DoJewish Campaign of Atlanta speaks about the legacy of beauty and faith. "When the Jews were enslaved in Egypt," he explained, "the men were humiliated all day long, degraded.

The women took special care to make themselves look beautiful, so that when their husbands came home, they felt respected. It made them feel human again." Beauty was not about how the women judged themselves, but the effect it had on those around them. It reached the men's souls where words could not."

Nature deals with extremes.  There are levels of extreme heat, cold and precipitation found in nature that Mankind cannot even fathom up close and personal.  Yet, God in His infinite wisdom has provided natural protectants to insure the cycle of life continues.
Plants from extreme environments have developed natural biological defense systems that enable them to flourish in difficult environmental conditions.   So, one could surmise that the MECHANISMS that these plants use to survive in their environment would serve to benefit the needs of humanity in their attempts to deal with the ravages of aging.  By adapting the active Ingredients of these plants in formulas to naturally meet the needs of our own skin, protection, restoration and regeneration, we can delay or even perhaps reverse the ravages of aging caused by the extremes we are exposed to.

One such plant is NUT GRASS (Cyperus esculentus L.) -

ARKive photo - Nut-grass

History

This species is native to the Mediterranean Basin (southern Europe, Northern Africa, Middle East). It is cultivated primarily in Spain.
Cultivated for 3000 years in ancient Egypt, nut grass seeds were introduced to Europe via Spain in the 8th century by the Arabs. Nut grass roots have been found in Egyptian tombs of the 12th dynasty (2000 BC). Edible nut grass (also known as coco-grass, purple nut sedge, red nut sedge) is a member of the Cyperaceae (Papyrus) family.
This species loves moisture and grows along waterways. This edible plant is not cultivated on a large scale. Its yellow rhizomes form small tubers which are yellowish brown at maturity and the shape and size of a hazelnut. These are what are used, whether dry or raw. An excellent oil can also be made from nut grass roots. In the Valencia region, they are used to prepare a drink known in Spain as “horchata de chufa”. This small rhizome primarily from Mali, is known as a “sweet pea” or “tchoncon” in Côte d'Ivoire. It is generally eaten fresh or dried as a treat, like peanuts or coconut, and a delicious milk can also be extracted from it. It is commonly found in local markets.

Properties
Nut grass strengthens the papillary dermis’s deformable web structure, which is responsible for the skin’s elasticity and deformability. It gives spring to the skin and limits the appearance of wrinkles.
It acts on key factors involved in the appearance of wrinkles. It protects and restores:
- the oxytalan microfibrillary network which acts as a “buffer” against dermal ridges.
- functional type XII and type XVI collagens, specific to the papillary dermis and responsible for deformability and extensibility
- type I and type VI collagen matrices, responsible for strength, cohesion and flexibility
